Universe 8113 It’s not so unlike the world you live in today, but there is a difference. The human evolution leapt forward suddenly producing a new species: Homo superior. Despite the efforts of many to keep the discovery quiet, the media seized upon it, describing it as the “mutant menace.” The Xavier-Lensherr academy opened, providing a safe environment for young mutants learning to use their powers and keeping them with safe from a hostile environment. But outside of the metal gates, the time moved on and slowly mutants become more accepted in society, and even the government begins to lend a hand setting up a special police force to deal with mutant related crimes and even special social services for the newly evolved. A Mutant’s Right bill was beginning to take shape-a good compromise between protection and ensuring rights. Except progress is so much easier to undo than to keep and when there a mutant caused explosion at Empire State University, the carefully woven peace between the two species unraveled. Tension mounts on all sides. The Brotherhood, a mutant street gang, roams faced with even more brutality than usual. They're getting more and more antsy in their cramped surroundings and are beginning to dream of more. And within the hallowed halls of the Xavier-Lensherr Academy, Erik Lensherr grows restless and disturbed by violence and begins to doubt the ability of homosapien and homo-superior being able to live in peace.
